Today, our P4/5 football team took part in a tournament at Rugby Avenue and represented the school with great pride. The boys faced a challenging group stage, beginning with a narrow 1–0 defeat to Portrush Primary. They responded brilliantly in their next match, defeating Macosquin 2–1, before producing an excellent performance to beat St Malachy’s 5–1.
These results secured a place in the quarter-finals, where the team met a very strong Hezlett Primary side. In a closely contested match, the boys gave everything but were unfortunately edged out 1–0.
Throughout the day, every player showed tremendous effort, determination and teamwork. Their positive attitudes and excellent sportsmanship were a credit to themselves and the school.
